Meet On Y Va
Laurence, born and raised in France but a long-time Aussie, was inspired to found On y va by a love of the French language and culture and her academic qualifications in translation. She combines professional skills acquired over many years in the corporate world with tertiary translation qualifications from UNSW, NAATI accreditation for translation in both English to French and French to English directions and extensive practical experience.

After a career in banking and the not-for-profit sector, I completed a Master of Translation, specialising in French/English translation. I love the variety of topics my job gives me exposure to. One of my favourite assignments so far was translating very specialised literature on the nesting habits of endangered sea birds from English into French for ACAP, the Agreement for the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels, in Hobart.
